On January 25, 2021Friends of Chamber Music presented the first virtual educational outreach event of the 2020-2021 concert season. The Chamber Choir class at Blinn College met online with the Educational Team of Chanticleer, one of the world’s most renowned and revered all-male a cappella groups.

 

Dr. Paulo Gomes, Director of Choral Music, Professor of Music with Department of Visual and Performing Arts and Kinesiology at Blinn College, lead the class discussion and interactive exchanges between students and the Chanticleer’s Educational Team that included singers Matthew Mazzola, Gerrod Pagenkopf, and Kory Reid and Music Director of Chanticleer, Tim Keeler. 

 

The discussion was centered around the questions about the impact that the pandemic has made on making vocal music, requirements that are important for professional singers, and also, work ethic and vocal pedagogy.

 

Friends of Chamber Music presented a spectacular virtual holiday event – A Chantileer Christmas – in December of 2020.
